Message from Chairman of the Board
This foundation was established with the aim of further advancing the quest for the safety and usefulness of food additives, which is the continuing goal of San-Ei Gen F.F.I., Inc. The company's guiding philosophy is to always contribute to the development of food culture.
With the remarkable advancement of science and technology, especially for food processing, agriculture and transportation, a wide variety of foods have come to be served on the table in everyday life. As a result, it has become imperative to address various issues in food chemistry, in fields such as food additives, pesticide residues and packaging, in order to ensure food safety and the further development of food industry. Meanwhile, the food industry is undergoing rapid globalization. We feel that one of the significant challenges facing the food industry in Japan is to view these food chemistry issues from a global and long-term perspective and to further promote research activities and technology development.
Bearing these circumstances in mind, through supporting research and related academic activities on food additives, pesticide residues and other food chemistry-related matters, the Foundation wishes to encourage the realization of new possibilities for the assurance of food safety and the development of new technologies, and thereby helps people realize a richer and healthier diet, and strives to make a contribution to the creation of the next-generation food culture.
